Milton Real Estate

Incorporated in 2006, Milton is one of Georgia’s newest cities. The City of Milton is part of Fulton County. Milton is comprised of land that was once a part of Milton County, named after Revolutionary War hero, and Georgia’s first Secretary of State, John Milton. Milton County became a part of Fulton County in 1932 in order to avoid bankruptcy. In recent years, there has been a citizen movement to re-create Milton County. The City of Milton, Mountain Park, Roswell, Johns Creek and Alpharetta would be a part of the new county.

Milton is known for beautiful farms, equestrian facilities and large homesites. Other than in a couple of pockets where high density development is allowed, Milton has been able to maintain the rural feel that residents seek out when moving to Milton. The schools in Milton are consistently at the top of the heap when it comes to test scores and parent ratings (Great Schools). In addition to the great public schools, Milton is home to sought after private schools and has a large network of parents who homeschool their children.

Milton real estate is booming. Homes do not stay on the market for long. In 2017, the average days on market was 100 days or less and the average sales price was just over $670,000. There is something for everyone…large estates priced in the millions, single family homes in the mid $300s, and condos and townhomes in the $200s.

In 2011, the City of Milton was voted as having the best quality of life in the state of Georgia. Make Milton your home today!  Let me know if you’d like a free newcomer guide. Visit the City of Milton website here.
